HANLEY Castle High School scooped first prize in a languages competition with a performance of Little Red Riding Hood in German.
Twelve Year 8 pupils took part in the performance on July 2 at Prince Henry's High School, in Evesham, as part of a schools' languages festival organised by Worcestershire County Council. They performed the play yesterday (Thursday) to the rest of the school.
They beat competition from 17 other schools, who also performed pieces of drama in foreign languages. The pupil were awarded mugs to keep and a fax/telephone/ copier for the school.
