IN reply to Mr Pack (Your Letters, July 5), yes, Bromyard councillors are trying to get a skatepark but on Bromyard playing fields.
They are doing this because they are thinking about the best interests of the children in Bromyard. Of course, the councillors have thought about accident claims and have ways of not being held responsible but without the skatepark there have been broken arms etc on the playing fields.
It is not only 10 per cent of the young male population that would use the skatepark. Many girls and boys aged between five years and 18 years board, BMX and blade.
Many local people agree to having a skatepark and they are pleased that the councillors are thinking about the real wants and needs of the youth in our town.
