WHILE Tim Culley commiserated over what could be his final week in the Big Brother house, Channel 4 has been assessing the damage done by joke he told in bad taste.
After being nominated for eviction tonight (Friday) alongside pal Alex, the 23-year-old business finance graduate from Upton is widely expected to fall at the last post and could be home this weekend, a week before the 64-day show ends.
His father, district councillor and Swan Hotel proprietor Neil Culley, has promised to hold a party to celebrate Tim's achievement in living under nationwide scrutiny.
However, the reverberations of Tim's telling of an allegedly racist joke continue. After complaints were made about the content of the broadcasted joke, which Tim told just before the eviction of PJ last week, Worcestershire Racial Equality Council is now pursuing the matter.
It could also be taken up by the Commission for Racial Equality and may even result in legal action against Channel 4.
In the house, Tim remains oblivious to the problems and is struggling to come to terms with the knowledge that he is not popular with viewers after hearing shouts over the wall. His comments about housemates during nominations this week seemed to reflect his downbeat mood.
