WORCESTERSHIRE golf ace John Bickerton experienced caddy trouble on the first day of the Open Championship at Muirfield.
The Droitwich player's manager had to carry his clubs round as he shot a two-over-par 73, the same score as Hereford's David Park to leave both players battling to make the cut.
Bickerton, who remained two over after two holes today, said: "My caddy went over on his ankle two days ago and it was up like a balloon, so he couldn't caddy for me. My manager stood in and did his best."
Nick Price had a blistering start today with three birdies in the first five holes taking him a shot clear on six under.
