RED-FACED Harriers crumbled defensively in Sunday's 4-3 defeat at Dr Martens League Western Division Solihull Borough.
But the visitors were 2-0 up after just 11 minutes when Foster created the opener for Sam Shilton and then added a second from the penalty spot after being brought down.
Nick Amos was able to pull Solihull back into the game with a volley from a corner before Morton Titterton fired an equaliser on the stroke of half-time.
Harriers regained the lead around the hour mark when another Foster run this time benefited Andy Corbett who scored easily.
But it was not so easy at the other end as Alex Lobban pulled Solihull level again and then former Harriers striker Mark Shepherd headed a 76th-minute winner for the non-leaguers.
Former Tottenham Hotspur youngster Lee Kersey, who played four games in the Conference for Stevenage Borough during season 1999-2000, played a trial game at right-back.
HARRIERS: Brock (Danby 67); Kersey, Sall (Hinton 46), Ayres, Stamps; Bennett, Williams, Shilton; Ducros (Doyle 46); Corbett, Foster.
