FRESH from his Pitchcroft victory last week, Tony McCoy is set to star at Worcester Racecourse tomorrow.

The champion jockey is just one of the stars pencilled in along with Richard Johnson and Tom Scudamore.

McCoy tasted victory on Ashgan last week, beating off the challenge of Johnson and Shamsan in the handicap hurdle. And he is eyeing a treble as he bids for success in the novices hurdle, the handicap hurdle and on the Flat.

Worcester is host to seven races between 2.10-5.10pm in the final midweek meeting of the summer season.

Operations manager Katherine Self is expecting some top-class fare as McCoy and co go head to head.

"There are no other National Hunt meetings on so we will see the best jockeys at Worcester yet again," she said.

"Despite having some large fields this summer and plenty of rain, the course has held up well and the top names coming back to us shows that they have confidence in Worcester."

As part of a charity day in aid of the County Air Ambulance, the first race will be a Shetland Pony Sprint at 1.25pm over two furlongs. The Air Ambulance will also hold a silent auction for racegoers with a champagne breakfast just one of the bargains to be had.
