FORMER Kidderminster Harriers skipper and Conference winner Ian Clarkson has joined Nuneaton Borough on a free transfer.
The right-back, released by Harriers in the summer after nearly three seasons at the club, has signed a one-year deal at the Conference promotion challengers.
The 31-year-old is Nuneaton manager Steve Burr's sixth new face and played in their 6-0 friendly win over Leamington on Saturday.
Clarkson enjoyed a successful professional career with Birmingham City, Stoke City and Northampton Town before linking up with Harriers.
Young midfielder Peter Faulds, another freed by Harriers, is on trial with Dr Martens League Premier Division Moor Green.
Ben Davies has already signed for Chester City and Tony Bird for St Patrick's Athletic in Ireland.
