A CUTTING of the earth ceremony finally got work under way at a new Matchborough First School.
The £2.5 million project will see a state-of-the-art building constructed in Easenhall Lane for up to 450 children.
Last week, Worcestershire County Council chairman Councillor Bob Bullock joined brother and sister pupils Christian and Leanne Carless to start the digging.
