WORCESTER art lovers will be able to enjoy a collection of contemporary landscapes by an Italian artist for another two weeks.

The exhibition is a collection of contemporary works called Monoprint Landscapes, by Italian artist Antonella Scarpa-Isles.

The exhibition, at the Foal Yard Gallery, opened on Saturday, July 13, and will continue until Saturday, August 10.

"Italian-born artist Antonella Scarpa-Isles, from Bristol, draws her inspiration from the landscape, whether it be her immediate surroundings or further afield during frequent visits to Italy," said a spokeswoman for the gallery.

"In her work she captures a mood rather than a specific place, through a mixture of printing and painting techniques.

"Generally it starts with a monoprint and then the image is built up using layer upon layer of thin translucent colour in pastel or oil paint.

"Printmaking is normally associated with multiple editions of the same image.

"However, as the name suggests, monoprint involves building up a single image."

The gallery, on the A4103 in Bransford, is open from 9am until 5pm, Monday to Saturday.
