A JOBLESS Worcester man has admitted stealing machine tools from a DIY store.
Robert Andrews pleaded guilty to theft when he appeared before Worcester magistrates.
Sally Badham, prosecuting, told the court that the 26-year-old and another man were seen acting suspiciously in Homebase by a store detective.
"The security guard watched them as they took machine tools and saw them go to a vehicle outside," she said.
Ahmed Hussain, defending, said Andrews and the other man had gone to the store intending to steal something.
Agreement
"He didn't take the items, but there was an agreement from him to drive there," he said.
The father-of-one, of Saddlers Walk, Wardon, was given 12 months' community rehabilitation and ordered to pay £55 court costs.
