In the Midland District Youth and Age Championships, Redditch CC's Sarah Holtom had a fine swim to take fourth in the 100m breaststroke while Paul Wilkes claimed second in the 100m fly.

At the Age Group Champs, Matthew Hooper became Midland Districts Champion after taking gold in the 50m back.

Alexandra Munsey took three silvers, in the 50m, 100m and 200m fly.

After the Districts come the Nationals and all eyes will be on the three town swimmers who have achieved National Qualifying times.

They will be travelling to Pond's Forge, Sheffield where the Championships take place after the Commonwealth Games.

The youngest swimmer is 12 year old Studley High student Munsey.

Munsey will be contesting the 100m fly.

Francesca Carlson, aged 13, will be swimming the 100m freestyle and starts at St Augustine's in September after finishing at Walkwood Middle School.

Arrow Vale's Paul Wilkes hopes to be entering university in September.

He will be swimming the 100m fly.

Carlson and Munsey will be competing in the ASA Age Group Champs on the 5th-8th August while Wilkes will be swimming in the ASA National Youth Champs on the 9th-12th August.
