MORE than £900,000 has been injected into the Alexandra Hospital to rebuild and expand two major departments.
The cash, from the NHS Modernisation Agency, will fund work on the ear, nose and throat department and the fracture clinic.
Work on a new fracture clinic on the side of the existing hospital is due to start in the autumn and finish by summer 2003.
A Worcestershire NHS Acute Hospitals Trust spokesman said: "The money is part of £1.2 million given to the trust over two years and a bulk of it is going into the Alexandra."
