A PILOT project to encourage people to 'Shop 'n' Read' was launched on Saturday.
Redditch's mobile library service was based at the Winyates branch of Safeway from 9.30am-noon.
The mobile library only previously stopped on weekdays and the venue is also new.
The fortnightly stop offers books for loan, information, talking books, videos and children's books.
The mobile library also visits Astwood Bank, Batchley, Church Hill, Crabbs Cross, Feckenham, Inkberrow, Matchborough East and West, Oakenshaw, Webheath and Winyates on weekdays.
