THE spirit of the Caribbean will be brought to Redditch next month when a town group hosts a family fun day.
The Descendants of Windrush will hold the event at Redditch United football ground, Bromsgrove Road, from 1-6pm on Saturday, August 3.
It will feature singers, dancers and VIP guests presenting songs, poetry, and reggae and steel band music.
There will also be stalls and free entertainment, including bouncy castles and party games.
Guests will also have the chance to sample and buy jerk chicken and saltfish and ackee and other Caribbean foods.
Transport will be provided for the elderly and disabled.
The group is looking for more stallholders to sell or promote their businesses, more gazebos in which to stage the event and prizes for the raffle.
