THE Birmingham Stage Company is ten years old!

Defying all the pundits, this unique company, which relies almost entirely on box office income, is delighted to announce its forthcoming productions to celebrate a very special birthday.

The Tenth Anniversary autumn show at The Old Rep Theatre will be a thrilling new production of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, directed by acclaimed New York director John Sheehan.

It promises to be a passionate battle of love against prejudice, running from October 1 to 19.

Christmas sees the return of the company's most popular children's show George's Marvellous Medicine by Roald Dahl adapted by Stuart Paterson.

The play will run from November 20 to January 25, 2003, at The Old Rep Theatre before embarking on its fourth and most prestigious UK tour.

In its tenth year, the BSC is busier than ever with public performances every single week of the year!

In August it presents its acclaimed production of The Dice House by Coventry writer Paul Lucas at the prestigious Pleasance Theatre for The Edinburgh Festival.

Meanwhile, its hugely popular tour of James and the Giant Peach continues to sell out across the country, visiting all the top venues in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and Jersey. This production wil be continuing on tour until June 2003!
