L SPITERI'S attack on US President George Bush's policy is a typically trendy gesture.
Bizarrely, despite fashionable media portrayal of Bush as a buffoon, he seems to think Bush is the mastermind of a sinister plot. Yes, "might does not make right" but wrong sometimes calls for might.
In a world filled with violent people, the forces of law, order and justice must be prepared to use violence if necessary.
Most realistically-minded people should be able to see that Iraq's developing nuclear capability justifies a military response.
As for the Palestinians, Yasser Arafat's too closely associated with terrorism to enable a peaceful settlement.
I would suggest the real reason for the vulnerability of American citizens abroad is jealousy of US prosperity and stable democracy.
