YOUNGSTERS at a rural school in Bromsgrove have been getting fired up about clay pottery.
Linthurst First School, in St Catherine's Road, Blackwell, backed the BBC's Big Art Week by teaming up with ceramics artist Sue Babb.
The BBC linked the school with Sue as part of its initiative to promote art in the classroom.
Sue has paid three visits to the school and every pupil is supporting efforts to make a 2D clay plaque for the building.
Teacher Pauline Barton said: "This has been a super experience and the children have appreciated meeting a real artist and being able to ask questions."
Mrs Barton said Sue led an interesting assembly week and will be returning to the school when the clay plaques have dried out and been fired.
