The speaker for the meeting was unable to be present due to illness, so a do-it-yourself presentation was mounted by chairman Ruth Bottomley and members Peggy Mears, Sue Pugh and Virginia Davis.
At the June meeting members had the pleasure of renewing the acquaintance of Liz Nicholson who, with the invaluable special assistance of her mother, have a lively presentation of spectacular arrangements with amusing commentary to match. Flower of the month was Mrs Catley's pink peony and the competition winner was Virginia Davis with runner-up Ruth Bottomley. The novice section winner was Lyn Goode.
