A LEADER of the Arrow Action Group in Alcester ran one of the last legs of the Queen's Jubilee Baton Relay.
Judy Appleby, who helped set up the group in the Greig Hall looking after people with learning and physical difficulties, ran the half-mile leg in Wychbold last Thursday encouraged by one of the group's members, Gillian Faunch, who she pushed at the same time.
Mrs Appleby was awarded with the place to run in the baton relay, which is the curtain raiser for the Commonwealth Games in Manchester, after being nominated.
