PLANS for the revamped Alcester Hospital have moved a step closer after planning permission was granted.
Stratford Council agreed to plans for a new 25-bed hospital with day care and outpatients suite, including chiropody, dental surgery and physiotherapy treatment suites, at the Kinwarton Road site.
South Warwickshire Primary Care Trust (PCT) is now pressing ahead with plans and hopes to start work this autumn with a view to completing it in about a year.
A presentation about the development will be on show to the public today at the Stratford Moat House Hotel at 2pm.
