The Ladies Section at Gaudet-Luce Golf Club competed in the AEG tournament qualifying first round together with their monthly medal on July 14.

Sixteen ladies entered the competition and the result could not have been closer. Pam Wiltshire was the winner with a net 65, closely followed by the club's youngest player, and up and coming junior, Claire Forster.

Claire finished with the lowest gross score of 77 (a net 66). In third place with a net 67 was another junior, who has featured recently in the Advertiser/Messenger - Amanda Purcell.

After playing the AEG Medal Competition in the morning, Amanda then went on to represent the club in a Junior match in the afternoon!

The fourth and fifth places also scored a net 67 - these being Audrey Edwards and Angie Hayes.

We all hope that this low score will take Pam through to the next round of the tournament and wish her good luck.
