A PLAGUE of flies in villages around Throckmorton airfield is being blamed on the massive 130,000 foot-and-mouth carcase burial site.
Residents living nearby the culled animal pit say they are being besieged by insects.
The Evening News reported last week that people in the Pinvin and Throckmorton communities were suffering similar ailments, including mouth blisters, sore eyes and throats, as well as extreme tiredness.
The residents believe these illnesses are linked to the extensive burial pits.
