ROWING: Bewdley Rowing Club are hoping to mark their 125th anniversary with the biggest regatta yet this weekend.
Their two-day rowing competition is already known as the biggest event of its kind in the country, attracting competitors from far and wide.
It will be a double celebration for the town of Bewdley with the partial reopening of Severnside North just in time.
A massive 670 entries are already in with races ranging from juniors up to elite rowers, including Henley Royal Regatta winners.
Bewdley will be hoping their own members can scoop some silverware too.
Regatta secretary Anne O'Connell said: "As it's the 125th anniversary of the rowing club, we are hoping to make this year really special for our competitors and sponsors.
"I'd like to say a big thank you to all the local businesses who support the regatta by sponsoring races."
Racing starts at 8.30am and runs until 6pm on Saturday and Sunday with refreshments available from the club.
