TWO arrests have been made as part of the "We Don't Buy Crime" initiative to tackle the trade in stolen goods.

Police acted on anonymous information and apprehended the two women in their 20s from a house in Usmere Road, Kidderminster, on Thursday morning.

"A substance believed to be heroin and a quantity of children's clothing, suspected of being stolen, were seized," said project co-ordinator Steve Craig.

Both women have been released on police bail.

"We Don't Buy Crime" was launched in May and targets people buying stolen goods - which can result in a 14-year jail sentence.
