FIREFIGHTERS have been forced to deal with another blaze in Kidderminster's historic Piano Building.

The incident at 6.20pm on Saturday was the third time they have been called to the town centre site in recent weeks.

Two mattresses had been set on fire in the former factory and were quickly put out by a crew from Kidderminster Fire Station.

Two weeks ago arson was suspected when a blaze broke out on three storeys of the building. It will be demolished if plans by developer Centros Miller for a 900-seat cinema get the go-ahead.

Firefighters have urged parents to ensure their children stay out of the "dangerous" building.

Arsonists are thought to have started a blaze at a derelict Scout hut in Blakedown. Firefighters from Kidderminster spent more than an hour tackling burning rubbish in the disused hut off Belbroughton Road after being called out at 2am on Tuesday.
