A MAN from Walsall who drowned in the sea while on holiday had recently moved to Kidderminster.
Mark Cumpston, 35, died off the coast of Majorca despite the best efforts of lifeguards when he was hit by a wave and swallowed sea water as fiancee Linda Lees, from Brierley Hill, looked on.
Mr Cumpston, who was the deputy head green-keeper at Stourbridge Golf Club, was originally from Pelsall in Walsall but had moved to Blakebrook Gardens.
His body has been flown back to Walsall and an inquest opened into his death.
