DEADLY strike duo Sam Bowen and Michael Moore grabbed a goal apiece as Bromsgrove Rovers eased into round three of the FA Vase with a comfortable 2-0 win over Ford Sports Daventry.
Midland Alliance title hopefuls Rovers were always in control of their destiny against their United Counties Premier Division opponents, and could have scored more.
Bromsgrove left back Paul Lloyd capped a man-of-the-match display with a couple of early long-range drives, one which cannoned off the post and back out.
Ford Sports striker James Sugrue should have put them one up after 27 minutes but he headed wide from close range when it was easier to score.
Rovers immediately went up the other end and took the lead a minute later. Moore weaved his way into the penalty area and once his shot had been saved by keeper Graham Bott, Bowen was quickest to the rebound to ram home his 16th goal of the season.
Bowen returned the compliment for Moore right on half time but the former Stourbridge goal ace blasted over from an acute angle.
It was all Bromsgrove in the second half as Jon Ford and Bowen both had decent chances to double the home side's lead.
The second goal came on the hour when Bowen played a neat one-two with Richard Kavanagh on the left hand side of the area and Bowen squared the ball back for Moore to slot home on the edge of the six-yard box.
