THEIR financial worries over, Bromsgrove Rovers' players can now get back to the business of concentrating on their football for tomorrow's home Dr Martens League Western Division clash with Gresley Rovers (3.00).

Rovers averted a winding-up order by paying off a £22,000 debt to HM Customs and Excise on Monday.

But manager Steve Daley does not want his players to relax knowing they are safe.

He said: "I am just scared of it being a little bit like after the Lord Mayor's Show. It could fall a little bit flat because our future is secure.

"We can't sit back and rest on what we have achieved since Christmas. We have to go out with the same measure of commitment, passion and will to win. We still have to get results on the park and if we don't, crowds will drop."

Daley was encouraged by their narrow 1-0 defeat at Kidderminster Harriers in the Worcestershire Senior Cup in midweek.

He said: "On our second-half display we more than held them and created chances. We gifted them the goal rather than them creating it, but on the day I thought the lads were magnificent."

Defender Kevin Ashley is Rovers' only fitness doubt with an ankle injury. Graham Brown or John Humphreys stand by to replace him.

Gresley, managed by former Rovers boss Brian Kenning, are three places better off in 13th.
