WITH reference to the article in the Evening News on July 9 headed "Speed Gun too old to be used", I would like to point out that this matter was wrongly reported.
The equipment has been withdrawn by the Association of Chief Police Officers, due to a technical reason.
As soon as the technical reason has been resolved, and it has been given approval by them, it will be back in use.
