TWO students from a Worcestershire school are jetting off to the USA to improve their sporting skills.
Rachel Harrison and Joanne Dudley, from Droitwich Spa High School, together with PE teacher Heather Fox, are off to Indiana next month for a 10-day research trip.
The girls will be looking at coaching and teaching at Ball State University, in Muncie, especially in gymnastics, ladies' soccer and cheerleading.
The trip is part of an exchange programme, with two students returning to Droitwich next summer.
"I am excited and nervous, but really looking forward to it. I can't believe we are going," said Miss Harrison.
The Year 12 students won their places after writing to the director of sport at the high school saying why they would be suitable candidates for the all-expenses-paid trip.
In return for their places, the girls have to provide at least 20 hours of coaching to their fellow students and give a presentation on their findings.
