COLWALL 3RD XI v OLD ELIZABETHANS 3RD XI
THE weather eventually claimed this game halting Colwall's claim to remain the leaders of the division.
Richard Lewis lost the toss and was put into bat.
Colwall's start was slow, Tom Palmer celebrating his 40th birthday went for four rather than 40!
Carpenter provided Colin Cowd-rey like support to Jon Berry who made an excellent 62 before being bowled by Prosser.
In between rain clouds Alistair Smith had a cameo 29 hitting the ball to all parts of the ground.
The OEs' innings was troubled by the tight bowling of Vockins and Lewis with Sanders going early.
However, the weather meant constant interruptions with a decision at 7.30pm to abandon the match after 18 overs.
Unfortunately, this meant that Colwall could not claim a winning draw since 25 overs had not been completed.
