Liam Paddock, captain of Barnards Green U12s, was in inspired form in the county match for Worcestershire U12s against Staffordshire.
Staffordshire batted first and had advanced to 25 without loss, before Liam Paddock came on to bowl his seamers. In the end they were bowled out for 90, Paddock finishing with figures of 6-2-10-4.
Worcestershire reached their target for the loss of just two wickets.
In March 2003 the youngsters are due to travel to South Africa to participate in a cricket festival in Johannesburg.
Any local companies or individuals wishing to help sponsor the trip in any way, can contact Liam's father, Steve Paddock on 07771 966054 for details.
