LEDBURY based band, the Bleeding Hearts, have released a new live album, Anarcoustica.

Although the album was originally meant to be recorded during a gig at Ronnie Scott's in Birmingham in March, the venue closed at the last minute and the album was recorded in the city's Flapper and Firkin pub instead.

Band member Steve Brown said: "Even then, when the band and crew were setting up the gear before the show, the recording equipment stopped working only to commence functioning two minutes before Bleeding Hearts came on stage. And my guitar electrics broke and only started working very quietly during the show."

The album costs £11 and is available from Thingmajig Promotes, 7 Gibson Way, Ledbury HR8 2US. Some of the tracks can also be listened to on the sound page of their website at www.bleedinghearts.co.uk.

On Saturday, August 3 the band will be performing at Kelly's in Leamington Spa (01926 428655) and the Pigstoke Festival in Denbigh, North Wales on Friday, August 9 (01745 816318).

They will also play at Gig in the Park Festival in Halesworth (August 10) before returning to the Flapper and Firkin in Birmingham on Sunday, September 15 (07966 518726).
