I UNDERSTAND all councils, including Worcester City, have been instructed by the Government to build a given number of new houses in their area by a certain date.
I am also led to believe that Worcester City Council is having difficulty in finding brownfield sites on which to build these affordable houses.
May I suggest the two councils get together and try and persuade Severn Waste to withdraw its selfish decision to enlarge the Bilford Road waste site and move to an industrial estate, where it should rightly be.
DES BRADLEY, Worcester.
