LIAM Killeen had the perfect preparation for next week's Commonwealth Games when he won the Espoirs National Mountain Bike title at Ludlow at the weekend.
The Malvern rider competes in the men's cross-country mountain bike race at the Commonwealth Games on Monday, July 29, starting at 1pm.
He says his plan for the race is to try and stay in the top five and see how it goes.
Other winners at Ludlow included Malvern's Tracey Moseley in the Sport Women's race and the Senior Female Downhill and Martyn Reeley in the Master Downhill race.
For Martyn Reeley, it was his last chance to get on the podium as the 39 year old moves up to the veteran class next year.
His next challenge will be to take on the professionals in a world series race in the Alps.
