THE judge presiding over the trial of Ledbury landlady Janet Kaye was today due to start his summing up at Hereford Crown Court.
Kaye, former licensee of the Seven Stars, is accused of arson with intent to endanger life following a blaze at the pub on Sunday, July 22, last year.
Last week, the court heard how 43-year-old Kaye had made a drunken confession to her boyfriend and several police officers as she watched the pub go up in flames.
But by Friday, forensic scientist Dr Ronald Denny had revealed her admissions could not be relied on as she was "heavily intoxicated" at the time.
The trial continues.
