TRIALIST Scott Laydon scored in Bromsgrove Rovers 2-0 victory against Willenhall Town at the Victoria Ground.
The former Shrewsbury Town player, starred in the League of Ireland last year and is set to feature against Hereford United tomorrow.
Les Palmer grabbed Rovers' second to leave joint manager Gary Hackett pleased with his side.
"It was a big improvement after the Stourbridge game last week and we looked a lot sharper," he said.
Former Bromsgrove keeper Chris Taylor could make a return to the club and is set to make an appearance in Rovers' friendly with Hereford tomorrow.
