A POSTMAN who hoarded post in his bedroom faces being sent to jail.
Jonathan Akers, aged 42, of Burcot Lane, Bromsgrove, pleaded guilty to two charges of interfering with mail.
He denied two charges of stealing mail, which the Crown Prosecution Service decided not to proceed with, Worcester Crown Court heard.
David Iles, prosecuting, said after Akers fell under suspicion, Consignia planted test mail which he failed to deliver in February this year.
Fifty-four postal items were discovered in Akers' bedroom at home.
Mr Iles said the maximum sentence for interfering with mail was two years' jail. The court heard that Akers, of previous good character, had been dismissed.
Granting him bail for a pre-sentence report, Judge Michael Mott told the defendant he was in a serious position.
