A SUCCESSFUL Spa pilot scheme will now be extended to the whole of Wychavon, allowing people to pay their bills electronically at One Stop Shops.
The trial scheme, held at Droitwich's One Stop Shop in the High Street last week, allowed residents to pay bills, from council tax to trade refuse collection with their credit cards.
Electronic equipment was installed into the district council's shop and staff received training on how to use it.
Following the trial's success, the scheme will now be widened to other Wychavon One Stop Shops.
Droitwich Spa's shop manager, Elaine Dicks, said: "Credit and debit card payments are extremely popular methods of payment and this is a service we can now offer.
"The pilot last week was very successful and generated a lot of positive feedback from customers."
