VICTORIOUS Worcester City face another long trip in the FA Cup when they travel to Cornwall for a third qualifying round clash with Jewson South Western League reigning champions St Blazey.

John Barton's side will have to be at their best again when the teams clash on Saturday, October 13 (3pm).

But the south-west proved a happy hunting ground for the St George's Lane club on Saturday when they battered North Devon side Barnstaple Town 5-0.

The match was a momentous one for prolific striker Mark Owen who scored his 100th goal for the club and also fired his third hat-trick of the season.

After the game a happy Owen reflected on his achievement for City.

"It was really good to reach the 100 mark," he said.

"I had a T-shirt with 100 on the front that I was going to wear for a bit of a crack with the fans but it was too warm.

"I was more conscious that it was my thirteenth goal to be honest so I was glad to get the penalty to get off that unlucky 13.

"It is a great privilege, how many great centre forwards have Worcester had over the years? People keep telling me about them, so it is great to be up there with them.

"When I came to the club I just wanted to score as many goals as possible and to reach the 100 mark, I'm over the moon.

"Everyone knows my ambition is to play professional but I'm happy with Worcester and Worcester are happy with me so I'm more than happy to stay. I'm just going to keep doing my job on the pitch and scoring goals, whatever else I'm not going to worry about it because I'm happy at Worcester.

"If the chance comes along then so be it."

Owen was pleased with his third hat-trick of the season.

"I enjoyed the first goal, penalties have been coming along quite frequently so I'm used to them, and for the third goal Mark Shepherd was superb.

"He's missed a few lately so I thought he was going to score himself but all credit to him. I'm well chuffed to have three hat-tricks, it's the best I've had in a season and we've only played 12 or 13 games."

Stourport Swifts, who beat highly-rated Solihull Borough 2-0, will play away at Unibond Premier League side Hucknall Town.

Redditch United have a home tie against Ryman League Division One side Northwood if they beat Kettering Town in a replay tomorrow night.

Bromsgrove Rovers and Tamworth who also replay tomorrow have a home clash against Eastern Premier side Wroxham.
