WORCESTER City's pre-season injury jinx struck again last night after just two minutes in their 3-2 defeat of Boston United when Chris Greenman was stretchered off with a dislocated shoulder.
The defender, who missed a chunk of last season with the same injury, was treated at hospital and is set to be out of action for at least six weeks.
City boss John Barton's plans have been disrupted by a sequence of niggling injuries -- Ian Reed, Marc Burrow, Mark Shepherd, Matthew Gardiner, Paul Carty and Mike Wyatt were all missing last night.
"On top of the injuries we already have it is disappointing and disruptive," said Barton. "Chris will be out for six weeks but the worrying thing is that is the third time his shoulder has popped out in a relatively short period of time."
Barton is set to have further talks with trialists Phil Stant, who scored last night, Darren Middleton and Kevin Francis.
"It is certainly going to be one of three and we would like to think we might be able to squeeze two from three but that depends on a lot of things," he said.
