DROITWICH Spa Football Club's Midland Combination Division Two squad is well prepared for the new season ahead with a number of new signings.

Goalkeeper Melvyn Watson has been re-signed from Droitwich Sports while Neil Harding, Leary Johnson and Kieron Holland have all been recruited from Barnt Green.

Andy Pheasent, Dave Drury and David Bailey have also joined the squad.

The side has embarked on a hard pre-season training schedule under the guidance of Cheltenham Town coach Martin Alps an will be back at their King George's Playing Fields home after a season away for refurbishment.

The club again has a Saturday reserve team in the Worcester Premier Division and defending the Martley Cup.

And Droitwich also has two Sunday sides with the first team playing in the Worcester Premier Division after promotion and defending the Evesham Hospital Cup.

The reserves will be competing in Worcester Division Three.

Pre-season training takes place at King George's Playing Fields on Wednesdays at 7pm.
