TWO soccer-mad youngsters are set to tread the hallowed turf of Villa Park, when they become mascots for Aston Villa Ladies FC against Bayern Munich.
In a recreation of the two clubs' famous European Cup final of 20 years ago, Fiona Williams and Tiffany Jones, from Worcester, are hoping the women's team can pull off a similar victory.
Fiona, aged 10, of Our Lady Queen of Peace School, and Tiffany, aged 11, who starts at Nunnery Wood High School in September, both play football for Aston Villa girls and the two will now see their dream come true by running out in front of thousands of claret-and-blue fans.
The duo's football talent first came to light at University College Worcester, when they were spotted by Villa scouts as the only girls training in a squad of boys.
They both hope to play in the under-12s next year and progress through the ranks and into the women's team.
The two lead out the Villa ladies on Sunday, August 11, at noon. Entry is free.
