ROWING: More than 600 crews competed at Bewdley Rowing Club's popular two-day regatta with 18 wins for the hosts and six successes from Stourport.
Reading clocked up 19 victories over the weekend to win the Victor Ludorum for the second successive year.
There were more than 1,000 competitors from 41 clubs across the United Kingdom, competing in 125 events in the club's 125th anniversary.
Bewdley's victories included the men's senior 2 eights and women's senior 2 fours of Sue Lewis, Mel Hinton, Emma Hinton and Jayne Holland.
Stourport won in the veteran's B double sculls, B single sculls and C single sculls (twice) along with the women's senior 4 eights and 3 single sculls.
Most of the clubs involved went home with at least one win as the competition was again hailed a success.
Bewdley's Saturday wins: veteran B pairs (John Hinton, Chris Hinton), men's senior 1 pairs (Nick Jackson, Toby Little), junior 14 sculls (Lewis Beech), veteran C single sculls (Jo Atkinson), junior 15 double sculls (Beech, Richard Jackson), men's novice four (Pete Thompson, Geoff Mills, Jason Carpenter, Ben Beaven).
Sunday wins: men's senior 1 coxless fours, men's senior 1 eights, junior 15 sculls (R Jackson), junior 15 doubles (R Jackson, Beech), men's veteran C eights, men's veteran d fours, veteran C sculls (Atkinson), men's senior 4 pairs (Matt Abbot, Rob Jarvis), men's novice fours (Tom Abbot, Andy Jarvis), novice double sculls (Matt Collier, Mark Swansborough).
