At the last three duplicate competitions a Howell movement has been played, over 27 boards. All three were won by Norman and Jo Hall.
The first week they won with 61 per cent, followed by Gerald Link and Joy Humphreys with 57 per cent, and Charles and Vera Smith on 54 per cent.
In the second competition Mr and Mrs Hall gained 64 per cent, while Sarah Green and her partner scored 62 per cent, and Bill and Ruth Copp 54 per cent.
Only two per cent separated the top three pairs in the third competition, Mr and Mrs Hall winning on 58 per cent, with John and Barbara Northfield on 57 per cent, and Mr and Mrs Smith on 56 per cent.
The club will meet most weeks during the summer, except on August 13.
The winter season will recommence on September 3.
