MALVERN RFC provided three players to the all-conquering North Midlands seven-a-side squad at Stourbridge last weekend.
George Blakeway, Gareth Richards and Rob Young formed the backbone of the side, which trounced Leicester-shire 33-7 and Notts, Lincs and Derby 22-7 to qualify for the finals this weekend at Twickenham.
For Richards it will be a familiar trail, having represented the Navy at HQ, then as a member of Malvern's 1994 Pilkington Shield triumphant team.
Director of rugby David Robins said: "It is a tribute to the development of rugby football at Malvern that our team provided three crucial members of a strong county side. The lads are certain to enjoy their day at Twickenham, no matter what the outcome."
