SO Russell & Dorrell will not fit in with the new Lychgate. Why not?
We need a good department store. We've lost Littlewoods, C&A and we have no hardware store in the centre of Worcester.
The only electrical store is in St John's, where there will be no car park shortly, so St John's will die.
No wonder people go out of Worcester to shop. Why should a London developer choose our shops?
Councillors must remember the Lychgate's only a stone's throw from the Cathedral and the development must blend in with the area and should not be of an ultra modern design.
