THE superb weather, and the course in excellent condition, helped to produce some good scores in the July medal at Evesham Golf Club.
The winner of Division One with a fantastic nett 64, was Neville Ashman, playing off a handicap of 12.
The runner-up was Alan Askew, 74-7-67, from third Martin Fletcher 78-10-68.
Winner of Division Two was junior member Ben Tattersall 82-15-67, runner-up Bill Kite 82-13-69, on a countback from third Gary Fisher 85-16-69.
The weather was also fine for the Mid-Week medal, with some good scores being carded.
David Lippett returned a brilliant nett 64 off a 21 handicap, from runner-up Doug Bott, 86-18-68, third Peter Callaghan 80-10-70.
The seniors had a good result at Evesham, beating Redditch comfortably, 5 to 1.
Captain Ken Piddington partnered by Frank Hanley, Mike Whiteford and Rod Spencer, Graham Pulfer and Ray Smart, David Wilson and Ken Brown, Brian Chapman and Brian Tomkins all winning their games with a half for Derek Lambert and Owen Gale.
There was also an excellent result for the seniors at home to Ombersley, winning six of the seven games.
The winning pairs were Jim Burton and Brian Chapman, Derek Lambert and Brian Hope, Peter Gilbert and Billy Ballard, Maurice Camm and Owen Gale, Ken Hardacre and Rod Spencer, David Wilson and Doug Bott.
