MALVERN Town were defeated 1-0 by Tividale at Langland Stadium in the Express & Star Premier Division on Tuesday night.

In a game of few chances, Tividale scored the only goal after 12 minutes.

Malvern's best chance came late in the second half when Ian Stevenson was foiled by the keeper in a one-on-one situation but then put the rebound wide of an open goal. Chris Thomas was also thwarted by the keeper who superbly saved his crisp drive.

Tomorrow (Saturday) the Town first team will be at home to the Brierley Hill and Hagley Alliance (2.45pm) and will be hoping to to put a run of five games without a win behind them.

The Town Reserves, who went down 4-0 at Bewdley on Saturday, are on their travels again in the Express and Star League Division One (S), when they visit Leominster Town (2.45pm).

The Under 18's visit Lye Town next Wednesday (7.30pm) WFA Youth Cup.
