WORCESTER Nomads Thirds inflicted their first defeat on Colwall, and in some fashion.
It is a result Colwall may regret, potentially handing the WCL Third XIs Double title to rivals Worcester.
COLWALL III v WORCESTER NOMADS III
Colwall batted first, and struggled throughout, finishing on 133 all out from 38 overs. Ken Girling was inspired with an excellent spell taking 6-32 (five being clean bowled) from 12 overs. Gary Sandbrook and Rob Allen took one apiece, and Nigel Rees wrapped up the innings.
Nomads replied, making 136-6. Anthony Massey led the way, showing good form since his return from University with 44. John Ranscombe found his touch at last, making 36, and Tom Marsh crashed a rapid 31 to ensure the Nomads victory.
